Forget Global Warming - it's Cycle 25 We Need to Worry About. Daily Mail, January 29, 2012.  Important! The release of new temperature data shows the planet has not warmed for the past 15 years. After emitting unusually high levels of energy throughout the 20th Century, the sun is now heading towards a ‘grand minimum’ in its output, threatening cold summers, bitter winters and a shortening of the season available for growing food. Sunspot numbers [in Cycle 24] are running at less than half those seen during cycle peaks in the 20th Century…. Cycle 25, whose peak is due in 2022, will be a great deal weaker still…. There is a  92 per cent chance that both Cycle 25 and those taking place in the following decades will be as weak as, or weaker than, the ‘Dalton minimum’ of 1790 to 1830. In this period average temperatures in parts of Europe fell by 2C. Note: The global warming hoax is finally being exposed – in a way that is far worse than global warming. The sun’s hibernation is almost a certainty now. Whenever that has happened in the past, very cold summers and winters have followed. Crop failures and starvation were the norm. We may be witnessing the coming of a perfect storm; record cold, crop failures and a deliberate, total financial collapse in the Western World. It is time to prepare. Global Warming: The Other Side. Spain Suspends Subsidies for New Renewable Energy Power Plants. Bloomberg, January 28, 2012. Spain halted subsidies for renewable energy projects to help curb its budget deficit and rein in power-system borrowings backed by the state that reached 24 billion euros ($31 billion) at the end of 2011. The system’s debts were racked up as revenue from state-controlled prices failed to cover the cost of delivering power. Note: Spain began to cut way back on subsidies last year. We knew it would not be enough because of their financial woes. Spain has led Europe in renewable energy, and studies have shown it has had a huge negative impact on their economy (surprise, surprise). Germany and Britain have already began to reduce subsides for the same reason. A complete suspension is inevitable. Yet, Obama is still full steam ahead. The Pacific Decadal Oscillation Explained. globalwarmingclassroom.info, January 13, 2020. Accuweather's Joe Bastardi provides one of the best explanations available on the relationship between earth's temperature and the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) and what is happening now that we are entering the cool phase of the PDO. It explains far more than the CO2 model of climate change. This is a 5 minute video.
New Emissions Data Dampen Global warming Fears. Forbes, January 25, 2012. U.S. carbon dioxide emissions continue to track lower than year 2000 levels. The new data rebut assertions that the United States needs to impose new restrictions on coal-fired power plants and other sources of carbon dioxide emissions. The primary reason...is the increasing number of natural gas-fired power plants. U.S. power plants currently produce 50% more [low-cost] power from natural gas than during the year 2000. Natural gas electricity production reduces CO2 emissions by 40% and 80% for carbon monoxide. This proves that free markets work. Note: What more can be said other than the government subsidies of hundreds of billions of dollars for green fuels has been a waste. Yet the agenda-driven Obama administration continues to promote green energy. Data Fraud and Corruption. To read newspapers and magazines, as well as TV news, it appears that the data used to prove man is causing global warming is rock solid and not open to debate. It is not. In fact, the data is so fraudulent and corrupted that it should never be used to justify cap and trade legislation. Yet, that is exactly what is happening. These are just a few of the examples of fraud.
No Need to Panic About Global Warming. WSJ, January 27, 2012. Sixteen prominent international scientists have signed a letter purporting there is no man-caused warming. "The lack of warming for more than a decade—indeed, the smaller-than-predicted warming over the 22 years since the U.N.'s IPCC began issuing projections—suggests that computer models have greatly exaggerated how much warming additional CO2 can cause. Faced with this embarrassment, those promoting alarm have shifted their drumbeat from warming to weather extremes, to enable anything unusual that happens in our chaotic climate to be ascribed to CO2. Note: This is only one aspect discussed. It's worth reading.

What's Wrong With Cap and Trade? An overview by Kristie Pelletier of the science and climate models of global warming. The models are wrong and there has been natural warming and cooling for thousands of years. Cap and trade legislation is not needed.

Frequency of Strong Florida Hurricanes Decreased in Last 600 Years. Watts Up With That, January 26, 2012. Research has shown that the frequency of “high-magnitude” hurricanes “peaked near 6 storms per century between 2800 and 2300 years ago.” These super-storms exhibited a marked decline, which “began around 600 years ago” and has persisted through the present with “below average frequency over the last 150 years when compared to the preceding five millennia.” It is instructive to note that over the past century and a half of ever-increasing fossil fuel utilization and atmospheric CO2 buildup, the frequency of the most intense category of hurricanes in the Northeastern Gulf of Mexico has been lower than it was over the prior five millennia, which speaks volumes about the climate-alarmist claim that continued anthropogenic CO2 emissions will lead to more frequent super cyclones and hurricanes. Note: Another alarmist myth bites the dust.

Cap and Trade Insanity. Cap and Trade legislation in the US Senate will destroy the American way of life--forever. It puts the government in charge of our economy. It forces the use of renewable wind and solar energy which have serious problems we are not being told about. Neither are economically feasible with today's technology and will cost trillions of dollars. The same strategy in Spain has resulted in huge job losses and escalating costs to Spanish consumers.

MPs' Bid to Halt Hot Air Christ Huhne's Wind Farms. Express, January 22, 2012. Britain's Energy Secretary Chris Huhne wants a major expansion of onshore wind farm development to help Britain meet green targets. Backbench MPs from all parties will brand heavily subsidised onshore wind farms inefficient, expensive and a major blight on the landscape. They will urge Ministers to re-think a policy which will add £280 to the annual energy bill of hard-pressed homeowners by 2020. Note: British Parliament may be following right on the heels of Germany's decision to slash subsidies, in this case to wind farms rather than solar farms. The cost of British electricity has already shot up 75% since it started subsidizing wind farms. Yet, the govn't continues to push for more.

The Crippling Cost. Although Congress tells us that the cap and trade legislation will only cost an average family less than $200 a year, that is just wrong. Very wrong. It is the biggest tax increase in the history of the United States. But Congress is hiding it so you can't see it. Analyses done by independent organizations shows that it will cost families many thousands of dollars a year and will drastically lower our standard of living. It hits the poor especially hard, even with federal rebates. This legislation will radically change the United States--forever.

Re-Evaluating Germany's Blind Faith in the Sun. Der Spiegel, January 18, 2012. Germany's solar energy thrust has gone from being the great white hope, to an impediment, to a reliable energy supply. For weeks now, the 1.1 million solar power systems in Germany have generated almost no electricity due to short, overcast days. Solar farm operators and homeowners with solar panels on their roofs collected more than €8 billion ($10.2 billion) in subsidies in 2011 (€100 billion, $122 billion, since the beginning), but the electricity they generated made up only about 3 percent of the total power supply, and that at unpredictable times. Because there are almost no storage options, the excess energy has to be destroyed at substantial cost.  Note: We have warned for years that with current technology solar power is a farce, except in niche cases. Solar power is bleeding Europe dry financially when they can least afford it. But as the Keystone XL pipeline clearly shows, Obama will do anything to force the U.S. to go to solar and wind.

The UN IPCC Fraud The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is supposed to be the last word on unbiased science concerning global warming. In fact, the IPCC stifles any science that contradicts its man-caused mantra. It must not be used to justify cap and trade legislation.

Obama's Job Council Report Says 'Drill'. The Hill, January 18, 2012.  President Obama’s jobs council called Tuesday for an “all-in approach” to energy policy that includes expanded oil-and-gas drilling as well as expediting energy projects like pipelines. “The Council recognizes the important safety and environmental concerns surrounding these types of projects, but now more than ever, the jobs and economic and energy security benefits of these energy projects require us to tackle the issues head-on and to expeditiously, though cautiously, move forward on projects that can support hundreds of thousands of jobs,” the report says. Note: Obama has systematically done all he could to destroy all carbon-based energy sources, putting the national security in jeopardy by making the U.S. more dependent on untrustworthy foreign oil. There is no reason to expect he will pay any attention to this common-sense report. The Carbon Footprint. Carbon dioxide is not, cannot be a pollutant. It is a miracle gas that is essential for life on earth, and was ten times more abundant in geologic history. Kristie Pelletier explains that increased levels of carbon dioxide has been a blessing to ecosystems and food production.
New study confirms that nature is responsible for 90% of the Earth’s atmospheric acidity. WUWT, January 11, 2012. Satellites showing that nature is responsible for 90% of the earth’s atmospheric acidity shocked researchers from the Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy, whose findings have just been published in the journal Nature Geoscience. Stunned, the scientists approached a team from the University of Wollongong’s Centre of Atmospheric Chemistry (CAC) to confirm what satellite readings were telling them. By providing data from a ground-based solar Fourier transform spectrometer instrument at the University, CAC used 15-years worth of information to verify the satellite’s story: all existing global models had substantially misjudged the main source of formic acid levels on earth – its forests. Note: Another man-caused theory bites the dust. When will the alarmists admit they were wrong? Never. There are billions of dollars and an entire global agenda at stake.

The Sun's Role in Climate Change.  There is far better reason for global warming -- the sun. Global warming alarmists claim there is not enough energy change in the sun's output to explain earth's warming. They are partially correct. But it is not the total amount of energy emitted by the sun, but the TYPE of energy released. As the sun becomes more active, as it did in the 20th century, it emits more solar winds which keeps more cosmic radiation from entering the solar system. That mean's the earth warms. Scripps blockbuster: Ocean acidification happens all the time — naturally. Watts Up With That, January 9, 2012. Remember all the end of the oceans stories about the increasing oceans acidity destroyed coral reef, etc. It turns out that far from being a stable pH, spots all over the world are constantly changing. One spot in the ocean varied by an astonishing 1.4 pH units regularly. All our human emissions are projected by models to change the world’s oceans by about 0.3 pH units over the next 90 years, and that’s referred to as “catastrophic”, yet we now know that fish and some calcifying critters adapt naturally to changes far larger than that every year, sometimes in just a month, and in extreme cases, in just a day. Note: One by one all the end-of-the-earth-because-of-man-caused-global-warming holocaust stories are proving to be false; just like the skeptics said they would. Another one bites the dust.

The Critical Importance of CO2.  These leading scientists explain how critically important CO2 is to life on earth. Atmospheric CO2 was as much as 10 times higher in the past as it is today, and concentrations as much as 5 times current levels have not shown any adverse effects. Plants are CO2 starved and thrive when CO2 levels are elevated. It is estimated that crop production worldwide has increased already by 12 percent. It is essential to an expanding human population. Global warming caused by greenhouse gases delays natural patterns of Glaciation. Watts Up With That, January 8, 2012. Research shows current levels of carbon dioxide are trapping too much heat in the atmosphere to allow the Earth to cool as it has in its prehistoric past in response to changes in Earth’s orbital pattern. The research team, a collaboration among University College London, University of Cambridge and UF, said their data indicate that the next ice age will likely be delayed by tens of thousands of years. Note: Good news, right? No. These alarmists (after all they have to get their next government research grant!) warn that this means glaciers will continue to melt, raising the sea level dramatically -- even though sea levels have declined slightly the past 10 years.. Besides, it’s much easier to buy an air conditioner and harvest more crops (more CO2 & warm = more crops) than to try to plant crops in frozen soil and get out of the way of spreading ice sheets.  
UHI in South Korea -- Responsible for Over Half of the Warming. Watts Up With That? December 29, 2011. A new study published in  the Journal of Atmospheric Environment quantifies the different components of warming there, with UHI (Urban Heat Island) making up over half of the total warming: "On average, the total temperature increase over South Korea was about 1.37 °C; the amount of increase caused by the greenhouse effect is approximately 0.60 °C, and the amount caused by urban warming is approximately 0.77 °C." Note: This is a very important study. The IPCC insists the Heat Island Effect is so small that it is irrelevant. Skeptics have always thought that the research supporting that conclusion was either fraudulent or was highly manipulated. Because of the control over what research gets published, the Climategate scientists have never allowed contrary research to be published -- until now!  
Climate Science Reaches a Landmark That Chills Global Warming Alarmists. Forbes, December 28, 2011. One of the fingerprints of human-induced global warming is more rapid warming in the lower troposphere (± 10,000 ft elevation) than at the surface. However, satellites show less warming in the lower troposphere than is reported by surface temperature readings. Therefore, one of the following must be true: (1) the surface temperature data is more corrupted by expanding urban heat islands and localized land-use changes than the IPCC admits, (2) the warming of the past 33 years is primarily the result of factors other than greenhouse gas emissions, or (3) longstanding, widely believed assumptions about greenhouse gas theory are wrong. Note: Very good easy-to-read overview.  

UN Elitists Hold Delegates Hostage at Climate Change Conference. Eagle Forum, December 21, 2011. (There have been all kinds of mixed messages of the outcomes of COP 17 in Durban, SA. Phyllis Schlafly explains why) The 17th annual United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP 17) held in Durban, South Africa ended at 5 a.m. on December 11th, running two days past the scheduled conclusion, making it the longest climate conference in UN history (16 days). … Climate change conferences have been deadlocked since COP 15 in 2009. The UN was determined to break that deadlock…. Executive Secretary Christiana Figueres, chose to keep delegates working overtime through Friday and Saturday nights until the desired outcome was achieved. Delegates held hostage, suffering from sleep deprivation and scheduling deadlines (i.e. flights home) will eventually agree to anything. In desperation the delegates decided to: 

  1. Platform requires a working group to establish legally binding requirements for all Parties by 2015 to go into effect in 2020;

  2. Creates the architecture of the Green Climate Fund (a fund of $100 billion per year to be given to developing countries by 2020), but it does not name specific funding sources;
  3. The commitment period for the Kyoto Protocol was extended five to seven years past its current expiration date of 2012;

  4. Sets up a new UN Climate Technology Center to facilitate technology transfers to developing nations, finding ways around Intellectual Property Rights (patents) barriers.

Note: The UN established a camel’s-nose-under-the-tent beachhead that prevented the total collapse of the process, but it did not bind the U.S. to anything. However, it is far more than the delegates wanted. Be watchful!

  
EU Court Force Airlines Into Carbon Trading Market. The Daily Bell, December 22, 2011. It is not enough that there is likely no such thing as global warming or that, even if there was, humans could do anything about it. Now, thanks to a lunatic ruling by the top EU courts, airlines around the world will have to pay a "carbon tax" and participate in a brand new EU "carbon market." While the ruling may somehow be appealed successfully, it is indicative of the lunacy that now reigns supreme not just in Europe but around the world. Human beings have gone mad collectively, not because they are prone to madness but because Western elites are leading them there. It begins with the Anglosphere power elite that uses fear-based promotions to frighten Western middle classes into giving up power and wealth to previously created globalist solutions. Note: Readers should already know this, but it is nice to see a group tell it like it is.  
EPA Ponders Expanded Regulatory Power in Name of 'Sustainable Development'. FoxNews.com, December 19, 2011. The EPA is giving itself vastly expanded power to regulate businesses, communities and ecosystems in the name of “sustainable development.” The recommendations urges the EPA to “create a new culture among all EPA employees,” and hire an array of new experts in order to bring the sustainability focus to every corner of the agency and its operations.” Although the EPA does not define sustainability, Obama has in an executive order signed in October, 2009, saying sustainability is the ability “to create and maintain conditions, under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the social, economic, and other requirements of present and future generations.” Within this, the emphasis shifts from anticipating environmental impacts to whether an activity “might” have environmental impacts sometime in the next few centuries. Note: This is huge! It virtually makes the EPA the High Priesthood of all economic activity in the U.S., since anything we do “might” have an environmental impact. This is full-blown UN Agenda 21 run amoke without any constraints.  
Obama's Justice Department Joins Britain's "Climategate Leaker Manhunt. The Examiner, December 15, 2011. Attorney Chris Horner has had his FOIA efforts to obtain public documents that could show criminal activity thwarted for years by NOAA, NASA and other Federal agencies. Now the federal government is throwing its full weight to finding and prosecuting the individual(s) responsible for the 2009 and 2012 release of public Climategate emails. The DOJ has joined the British government in this effort. British police have raided the homes of several bloggers skeptical of climate alarmism in which the police confiscated all the equipment. Note: This is not good news. The feds block every legal effort of private citizens to obtain their records that might show criminal activity, while indiscriminately launching fishing expeditions that violate Fourth Amendment rights of private citizens.  
The Durban COPx "Til We Meet Again, Historically. WattsUpWithThat.com, December 11, 2011. The negotiations to replace the expiring (after 2012) Kyoto Protocol seemed to have failed. On its face, the rest of the world agreed to let Europe continue binding itself until some later date. Yesterday, ClimateWire reported that a fund was established to administer the fund agreed in Copenhagen two years ago. AP tells us that “a separate document obliges major developing nations like China and India, excluded under Kyoto, to bind themselves to bind bind themselves later. Note: Confused? The conclusion to COP 17 was such a mish-mash that no one is sure what we have obligated ourselves too. The final consensus documents have yet to be released so everyone is holding their breath. Such uncertainty has never happened before. There are some normally reliable, but unconfirmed rumors that it will not be good for the U.S. Stay tuned.  
Report from UN Climate Summit in Durban. Climate Depot, December 9, 2011. The summit is reported to be a failure. However, a push is being made on the last day to accept a new treaty containing, among the usual goals of drastically reduced carbon emissions will create a new International Climate Court will have the power to compel Western nations to pay ever-larger sums to third-world countries in the name of making reparation for supposed “climate debt”. The draft also talks of “The recognition and defence of the rights of Mother Earth to ensure harmony between humanity and nature”. Note: This is but a sample. After years of failure, the UN hopes the nations are no longer paying attention to what they are agreeing too. The UN demands are becoming more radical and obvious. Let's hope this fails once again.  
North American Energy Inventory. Institute for Energy Research, December 7, 2011. When combined with resources from Canada and Mexico, the total recoverable oil in North America exceeds 1.7 trillion barrels. That’s more than the entire world has used in 150 years, and sufficient to fuel the present needs in the United States for the next 250 years. The total amount of recoverable natural gas in North America is approximately 4.2 quadrillion (4,244 trillion) cubic feet. That is enough natural gas in North America to last for the next 175 years at current rates of consumption. Coal is as abundant. Note: As we have been saying for several years now, the U.S. could be entirely self-sufficient in supplying our energy, but the progressives, especially Obama, refuse to do so. Instead, they are leading us into bankruptcy into trying to convert to wind and solar which is already proving disastrous in Europe. But then, that is the entire purpose for the global warming scare and the insane policy to convert us to green energy.  
A-Z Climate Reality Check. Climate Depot, December 7, 2011. The scientific reality is that on virtually every claim -- from A-Z -- the claims of the promoters of man-made climate fears are failing, and in many instances the claims are moving in the opposite direction. The global warming movement is suffering the scientific death of a thousand cuts. Note: The only "evidence" warming alarmists can now legitimately use (although there are hundreds of false claims in the media every month) is that computer models forecast a rapid rise in temperature. However, the introduction to this report notes "predictions or projections of 50-100 year into the future is not evidence." New Hurricane Record--2232 Days and Counting Since Major Hurricane Made Landfall on the USA. WattsUpWithThat.com, December 5, 2011. While the alarmists squall over trying to control what they perceive as “extreme weather” driven by global warming at Durban COP17, urging immediate action in the form of coughing up 100 billion a year to poor countries for “reparations”, a quiet record has gone almost unnoticed. As of midnight Sunday, it has been 2232 days since a major hurricane (CAT3 or greater) made landfall on the USA. Irene this year (Cat 1) doesn’t count, and I have doubts it was even a  Cat1 hurricane at all given the low wind speeds when it made landfall. 1900 was the last record. Note: The media have selective reporting when it comes to global warming. They will never report this. However, don't get too comfortable. When we finally get into the strong cooling period that should last three decade, the number and intensity of hurricanes will probably pick up.  
November 2011 Sea Surface Temperature (SST) Anomaly. WattsUpWithThat.com. December 5, 2011. Sea Surface Temperature anomalies well within the range of a moderate La Niña event. Note: Contrary to alarmist news reports, there has been no warming of the ocean surface since the Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) switched from warm to cool around 2000, except in 2010 when there was a fairly strong El Niño. Sea surface temp. has been declining since 2010. Now that we are in a cool phase of the PDO, it is highly likely there will be more La Niña events which will cool the sea surface temperature even more; along with the earth's temperature.  
Climategate (Part II); a Sequel as Ugly as the First. Weekly Standard, December 12, 2011. The stench from Climategate II continues to get worse. Timothy Carter of the Finnish Environmental Institute wrote in 2000, “It seems that a few people have a very strong say, and no matter how much talking goes on beforehand, the big decisions are made at the eleventh hour by a select core group.” decisions at the highest levels of what specific figures and conclusions were to appear in the short “summary for policy makers”​—​usually the only part of the IPCC’s multivolume reports that the media and politicians read​—​required changing what appeared in individual chapters, a case of the conclusions driving the findings in the detailed chapters instead of the other way around. Note: We have always known this, but this is the first time we have proof. The agenda drives the science to the point what science shows means nothing.  
Scientists Behaving Badly. National Review Online, November 28, 2011. Climategate 2 is showing "virtually the entire warmist edifice is built around a small, tightly knit coterie of persons (so-called scientists) willing to falsify data and manipulate findings; or, to put it bluntly, to lie in order to push a political agenda not supported by empirical evidence. Note: Climategate 2 is gradually uncovering a staggering amount of data manipulation, personal attacks on opposition and outright lies to support a green ideology that Climategate 1 hinted at. I am going to include in this posting some of the statements made. If you don't want to read them that's fine, but they do tell a very troubling story:

As one states: “The trick may be to decide on the main message and use that to guide what’s included and what is left out.”

“I also think the science is being manipulated to put a political spin on it, which for all our sakes might not be too clever in the long run.”

“Observations do not show rising temperatures throughout the tropical troposphere unless you accept one single study and approach and discount a wealth of others. This is just downright dangerous. We need to communicate the uncertainty and be honest.” Note: this warming is the foundation to the entire man-caused theory. To admit that it is not warming in the tropics is to destroy the theory. It is the elephant in the room that alarmists deny. No research pointing this out has ever been accepted for publication (because they spiked it) until this past summer. The alarmists are now in full retreat.

  
UN Mischief from Durban to Rio. Eagle Forum, November 30, 2011. The United Nations Climate Change Conference in Durban, South Africa opened on November 28. A climate change treaty is actually the goal of Chapter 9 of the United Nations Agenda 21. It's a major goal of Agenda 21 to lower the U.S. standard of living by cutting our use of energy by reducing carbon dioxide emissions. Agenda 21 plans to use smart meters, smart grids, and smart growth so that our nation's use of electricity can be controlled, limited, and redistributed. Note: This is a great easy to read article that quickly summarizes the purpose of global warming treaty’s and how they fits into the total global agenda through Agenda 21.  
China Solar Makers Face 'Suicidal' Prices on Excess Output. Bloomberg Businessweek, November 25, 2011. Losses for China’s largest solar manufacturers, including Suntech Power Holdings Co. and JA Solar Holdings Co. may continue through next year as declining shipments prompt them to slash prices and liquidate inventory. Note: China forced solar companies like Solyndra out of business because the Chinese government subsidized their industry more than the U.S. did. The entire fraud is now being exposed and the solar industry in China may collapse in the next year.   

Climategate 2.0: Shocker — 2007 NRC review of hokey stick rigged by alarmists. JunkScience.com, November 25, 2011. In an email exchange between Keith Briffa (a paleontologist caught up in Climategate I) and Michael Mann (author of the now debunked Hockey Stick curve), Mann assures Keith Briffa that an investigative hearing on the hockey stick scandal is rigged and that he would appreciate Briffa there to defend him. Mann tells Briffa, "The panel is solid. Gerry North should do a good job in chairing this, and the other members are all solid. Chrisy is the token skeptic, but there are many others to keep him in check." Note: In other words the investigation has a predetermined outcome (which is exactly what happened when it was actually held). Wisely, Briffa declined the invitation and did not go.

  
Climategate2: Leaked Emails Show Scientists Manipulated Data on Global Warming. November 24, 2011. Climate sceptics demanded a full public inquiry yesterday after a new set of leaked e-mails appeared to show scientists manipulating data to show man is causing global warming. The 5,000 excerpts of hacked e-mails, dubbed Climategate 2, include one that states "What if climate change appears to be just mainly a multidecadal natural fluctuation? They’ll kill us probably." Peter Thorne  of the Met Office (Britain's National Meteorological Agency) wrote:  "I also think the science is being manipulated to put a political spin on it which for all our sakes might not be too clever in the long run." Note: This second batch of hacked emails reinforces the original Climategate. There has been no warming since 2001, and with the sun going into hibernation, we could be heading into not just a cool phase of the multidecadal cycle, but a Dalton minimum which would be even colder, and possibly extremely serious.  
Draft 2012 IPCC Report Claims Natural Variability Will Rule Next 20-30 Years. UN IPCC Draft Executive Summary, November 18, 2011. "Projected changes in climate extremes under different emissions scenarios generally do not strongly diverge in the coming two to three decades, but these signals are relatively small compared to natural climate variability over this time frame. Even the sign of projected changes in some climate extremes over this time frame is uncertain." (Bottom of page 9) Note: This is huge! They probably had to admit it because it is becoming clear the next 2-3 decades will be much cooler because the sun is going into hibernation. For the IPCC to admit this should rip the man-caused warming theory to shreds. However, it probably won't, because the theory has never been based in science, but is an agenda to create global governance!  
Scientist Who Said Climate Change Skeptics Had Been Proved Wrong Accused of Hiding Truth by Colleague. Mail Online, October 30, 2011. Professor Richard Muller, of Berkeley University in California, and his colleagues from the Berkeley Earth Surface Temperatures project team (BEST) claimed to have shown irrefutable evidence that man is causing global warming (see post from Oct 20). However, a leading member of Muller's team has accused him of trying to mislead the public by hiding the fact that BEST's research shows global warming has stopped! Note: This is developing into a major scandal, perhaps to the level of Climategate two years ago. Alarmists have to lie continuously to keep the deception going. Again, there is absolutely no empirical scientific evidence man is causing warming! None!  
Shale Gas Could Be the Answer to Our Energy Woes. The Express, October 24, 2011. Like a bigot who refuses to listen to reason, the Lib Dem Energy Secretary Chris Huhne has halted the expansion of Britain’s gas capacity because, he grandly declares, nothing can “endanger our carbon dioxide goals…” Green activists have also called for a moratorium on shale gas drilling…. “We are worried that a shale gas goldmine would take money away from renewables,” cries Friends of the Earth. The exquisite irony is that shale gas is less damaging to the environment than the endless parade of windfarms, which are energy-intensive to build, scar the landscape, require expensive back-up power stations and threaten wildlife, especially birds. Note: The development of cheap shale gas is being blocked in Britain (and some extent, the U.S.) by government politicians and environmentalists who demand we go to alternative energy that is 5 to 10 times more expensive. It is time to vote out these politicians and deny environmentalists the incredible power they have garnered for themselves.  
Scientist Confuses Global Warming with Man-Made Warming. Climate Depot, October 20, 2011. Berkeley University Professor Richard A. Muller is a very confused man. Muller is claiming in a October 21, 2011 Wall Street Journal OPED that skeptics of man-made global warming fears no longer have any basis to doubt “global warming” because his new study confirms that the Earth has warmed since the 1950s! Muller seems to imply that the terms “global warming” and man-made global warming are interchangeable and any warming is somehow "proof" of human causation. Note: This is a deliberate attempt to muddy the water and mislead people. No one denies the earth has warmed since 1950. Skeptics claim there is zero empirical scientific evidence that man caused it! That’s right, zero!  
Heat Island Effect Has Small Effect on Global Warming. Science News, October 20, 2011. Heat emanating from cities -- called the "urban heat island" effect -- is not a significant contributor to global warming, Stanford researchers have found. 'This study shows that the urban heat island effect is a relatively minor contributor to warming, contrary to what climate skeptics have claimed,' said Mark Z. Jacobson, a professor of civil and environmental engineering. Note: FYI, skeptics have NEVER made this claim. Urban areas don't occupy enough area to have ANY  impact on overall global temperatures. What skeptics have said is that temperatures from ground temperature measuring stations located in urban areas with heat island effect (a significant portion of the total number of stations) are skewed much higher than the ambient temperature outside the urban area. When averaged into the total, the average global temperature reported by alarmists is skewed upward. This is a fact. Yet, Jacobson (deliberately?) muddies the water for the average person reading his report. His report is garbage.  
America's Worst Wind Energy Project. NCPA, October 17, 2011. The more people know about the wind energy business, the less they like it. And when it comes to lousy wind deals, General Electric's (GE) Shepherds Flat project in northern Oregon is a real stinker. The majority of the funding for the $1.9 billion, 845-megawatt Shepherds Flat wind project is coming courtesy of federal taxpayers. It will provide a windfall for General Electric and its partners. GE could easily pay for it itself. In fact, GE paid no federal income tax in 2011 because of tax credits from sweetheart deals with the federal government. The cost of the projected 35 permanent "green energy" jobs will be about $16.3 million each. Note: Another name for these public/private partnerships is called fascism.  
Sen. Inhofe Calls for New Hearings On EPA's Flawed Endangerment Findings. EPA Abuse, October 6, 2011. Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) issued a call for a new investigation into the EPA’s flawed endangerment findings on carbon dioxide based on the EPA Inspector General’s report showing that the EPA failed to follow the correct procedures before it issued its finding that CO2 is a dangerous pollutant. The EPA blindly used the UN's science to find the endangerment. Climategate emails clearly showed the UN cooked the books. Note: The EPA's finding led to the writing of tens of thousands of new pages of very destructive regulations. Obama has kept the EPA from enforcing them only because they would destroy the economy during an election year.  
British Chancellor Vows British UK Carbon Emissions Cuts Will Not Lead Europe. Guardian, UK, October 3, 2011. Chancellor George Osborne has vowed that the UK will not lead the rest of Europe in its efforts to cut carbon emissions, raising the prospect that the country's carbon targets could be watered down if the EU does not agree to more ambitious emission reduction goals. Osborne insisted the government will only cut emissions in line with its neighbours in order to ensure British businesses are not put at a disadvantage. "We're not going to save the planet by putting our country out of business," he said. "So let's at the very least resolve that we're going to cut our carbon emissions no slower but also no faster than our fellow countries in Europe." Note: Reality is finally starting to have an effect in Britain, which until six months ago was blindly rocketing ahead of everyone else and paying a steep price for it. Now all they need to do is abolish the economy killing regulations they have already passed.  
Extreme Weather Events Are Killing Fewer People Than Ever Before. Reason Foundation, September 22, 2010. Despite concerns about global warming and a large increase in the number of reported storms and droughts, the world’s death rate from extreme weather events was lower from 2000 to 2010 than it has been in any decade since 1900. Drought caused 60% of all deaths since 1900. Mortality has dropped 99.9%. Floods caused 30% of all deaths since 1900 have dropped by 98%. Deaths from storms dropped by 75%. The number of extreme weather events increased from 2.5 per year in the 1920s to 350 per year recently -- mostly due to the ability to report them worldwide. Note: Another source of headlines for wild-eyed fear mongering bites the dust. The alarmists will never give up, however, because global warming fear mongering is being used in a political agenda that has nothing to do with science reality.  

Obama Calls it Right—Sea Levels Are Falling!

Climate Depot, September 21, 2011. Obama declared in a June 8, 2008 speech, that his presidency will be “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.” Earlier this month, the European Space Agency's Envisat monitoring, global sea level revealed a “two year long decline [in sea level] was continuing, at a rate of 5mm per year.” In August 2011, NASA announced that global sea level was dropping and was “a quarter of an inch lower than last summer.” …. Additionally, “No hurricanes have struck the US since Obama became president, temperatures and sea level have dropped, and we have had record snow,” Real Science noted. “Reservoirs are filling up – and all of the damage [President George W.] Bush did to the climate has been healed. Obama should declare 'mission accomplished' and take credit!” Note: Real Science is manned by extreme alarmist scientists. Obama’s promise is one of the only one he has really followed through on. If only he would turn his apparent awesome powers into finding a job for everyone and get us out of this recession/depression!

  

EPA Again Delays Greenhouse-Gas Rule.  Wall Street Journal, September 15, 2011. The Environmental Protection Agency is again delaying a plan to curb greenhouse-gas emissions from power plants, saying it needs more time to propose the rule. The move comes amid intense pushback from business groups and Republican lawmakers who complain a recent slate of EPA proposals are chilling business investment and hindering the economic recovery. Note: These thousands of pages of new regs are economy destroyers designed to kill the coal and refinery industry and force us to go to wind and solar power. The failure of Solandra and its backlash has probably scared Obama into delaying the implementation of these regs again. The EPA is no longer a science-backed organization but a political arm of the president.

  
Nobel Prize Winning Physicist Resigns from American Physical Society Over Its Support of Man-made Warming. Climate Depot. Nobel prize winner for physics in 1973 Dr. Ivar Giaever resigned as a Fellow from the American Physical Society (APS) on September 13, 2011 in disgust over the group's promotion of man-made global warming fears. Dr. Giaever wrote to Kirby of APS: “Thank you for your letter inquiring about my membership. I did not renew it because I cannot live with the (APS) statement below (on global warming): APS: 'The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. In addition to Giaever, other prominent scientists have resigned from APS over its stance on man-made global warming. Note: This resignation merely continues the trend of hundreds of world-class scientists that preceded Giaever that switched their views.  
Obama green-tech program that backed Solyndra struggles to create jobs. Washington Post, September 14, 2011. A $38.6 billion loan guarantee program that the Obama administration promised would create or save 65,000 jobs has created just a few thousand jobs two years after it began, government records show. After spending half of this plan, the program has only developed 3,545 jobs. Note: Obama has spent almost 47% of the $38.6 billion to create 5.4% of the promised jobs. This works out to $5,077,574 per job created! Spain who created green jobs for 12 years before going belly up only spent $750,000 per green job. Spain also determined that it killed 2.2 jobs in the normal economy for every green job created. I think Obama is trying to become the next definition of insanity.  
The Myth of Green Jobs. GWPF Report 3. September, 2011. A new report in Britain has found that the government target for generating electricity from renewable energy sources will involve a capital cost that is 9-10 times the amount required to meet the same demand by relying upon conventional power plants. When added to the much higher operating costs of green energy, these costs will bankrupt many manufacturers; likely reduce the GDP by 2-3% (up to 4-5%); and add 0.6-0.7 percent to the core inflation rate. Note: Spain has already shown this, and is in fact, one of the major reasons they are now facing total financial collapse. There is overwhelming evidence that green jobs NEVER work, yet that has not stopped the absolutely insane political agenda to allegedly save the world by creating green jobs.  
White House-Backed Solar Energy Company Collapses. ABC News, August 31, 2011. Solyndra, a renewable energy firm that became the darling of the Obama Administration, shut the doors to its California headquarters today, raising fresh questions from the administration's critics about political favoritism in the federal loan program. The $500 million government loan guarantee was supposed to spur 1,000 full-time jobs once Solyndra's solar plant was fully operational. Instead, as the company announced Chapter 11 bankruptcy today,  1,100 would lose their jobs. Note: Nothing works for green jobs. The taxpayer is on the hook for another $500 million (peanuts compared to the trillions of deficit and debt). Even GE is getting out of the wind turbine business while at the government subsidy trough. The British are furious as their electricity prices skyrocket and will soon double. The concept of green jobs was insane from the very beginning.  
Texas Wind Energy Fails, Again. National Review, August 29, 2011. Texas has 10,135 megawatts of installed wind-generation capacity, which is nearly three times as much as any other state. And yet, last week, when the state's electricity demand hit 66,552 megawatts, all of the state's wind turbines mustered just 880 megawatts of power when electricity was needed the most. Why? The wind doesn't blow when there is a heat wave--every time. Note: The latest data from the Energy Information Administration show that building a megawatt of new wind capacity costs $2.43 million -- up 21 percent over the year-earlier costs -- while a new megawatt of gas-fired capacity costs a bit less than $1 million, a drop of 3 percent from year-earlier estimates. Because of the lack of dependability, the gas-fired capacity has to be running all the time to instantly pick up the slack when the wind dies down! This is insanity!  
Climate Change Reconsidered. Heartland Institute, August 30, 2011. This in-depth analysis found that “natural causes are very likely to be [the] dominant” cause of climate change that took place in the twentieth and at the start of the twenty-first centuries.” The new analysis also reported a 2007 survey of climate scientists, the majority of whom "say they do not believe the scientific claims that underlie the theory and predictions of catastrophic anthropogenic climate change, yet large majorities of those same scientists say they nevertheless believe in the theory and its predictions....This cognitive dissonance gives rise to and sustains a popular mass delusion." Note: What more can I say!  
Probing the Cosmic-ray--Climate Link. Physics World, August 24, 2011. The CERN particle-physics laboratory in Geneva...mimicked conditions in the Earth's atmosphere. By firing beams of particles from the lab's Proton Synchrotron accelerator into a gas-filled chamber, they have discovered that cosmic rays could have a role to play in climate by enhancing the production of potentially cloud-seeding aerosols.... They discovered that at altitudes of 5 km or more, where temperatures are below –25 °C, sulphuric acid and water can readily form stable aerosols of a few nanometres across and that cosmic rays can increase the rate of aerosol production [needed for cloud formation] by a factor of 10 or more. Note: This is a confirmation of the process we have been describing for years and totally denied by the warming alarmist scientists. These type of clouds cool the earth. Much remains to be done as other things were discovered too.  
British Media Avoids the Facts About the Wind Farm Scam. The Telegraph, August 20, 2011. Britain is busy cluttering the land and seascape with wind farms  costing citizens as much as 22 times more than natural gas power generating stations that have only a small visual impact. A full third of all energy taxes will go to subsidizing wind energy! Like American citizens, the citizens of Britain are not being told about these enormous costs. However, the truth is trickling out. At the very best the wind farms produce electricity only 30 percent (average 21 percent) of the time, requiring other wind farms elsewhere where the wind is still blowing to pick up the slack, or to have gas-fired generating plants on standby to instantly kick in when the wind stops blowing. The government is doing it solely because it promised the EU it would! Note: This insanity is coming our way. Because the wind only blows 15-30 percent of the time, a gas or coal generating facility still has to be running to pick up the slack, which doubles the cost!  
Old Report Re-ignites Global Warming 'Flim-Flam'. OneNewsNow.com, August 17, 2011. The so-called "confirmed" evidence in 2006 that retreating polar ice caused polar bear drownings is now being investigated as scientific misconduct by the Interior Department. It turns out the polar bears drowned during storms or because of old age. However, alarmist scientists blew this way out of proportion and it led to the listing of the polar bears being an endangered species. This then led to the EPA issuing thousands of new regulations to cap CO2 emissions that will ensure the U.S. will never have economic recovery. Note: One more false claim is debunked. This one, however, was used in a way that is extremely damaging to the U.S. economy. Hopefully, it will allow the polar bear to be de-listed as an endangered species, which should then eliminate the thousands of new EPA regs.  
Arctic Ice 'Tipping Point" Disproven. Pajamasmedia, August 5, 2011. Danish scientists have discovered that during a long-ago warming phase called the Holocene Climate Optimum, there was actually much less Arctic ice coverage back then than there is today (or will be in the future under pessimistic projections). Yet, the ice cap recovered. This disproves the theory that as the ice cap disappears the loss of its reflectivity will be a tipping point that will accelerate global warming forever. Note: Another red herring fear tactic bites the dust.  
69% Say It’s Likely Scientists Have Falsified Global Warming Research. Rasmussen Reports, August 3, 2011. The debate over global warming has intensified in recent weeks after a new NASA study was interpreted by skeptics to reveal that global warming is not man-made. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of American Adults shows that 69% say it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified research data in order to support their own theories and beliefs, including 40% who say this is Very Likely. That's up by 10 points from December 2009, right after Climategate. Note: Finally, the American people are beginning to doubt the man-caused global warming theory in significant numbers.  
UK Faces Green Agenda Backlash as Energy Prices rise. Reuters, July 25, 2011. The British government faces a public backlash against its green energy agenda as consumers are unwilling to spend more on power and gas bills to pay for investment in low-carbon forms of energy. 75% of people do not want to see higher energy prices after utility companies announced another double-digit price increase. The government's response? The people are too dumb to understand. We must make it clearer. Note: 25% of the British population already suffers from "energy poverty" as energy costs have already skyrocketed by 71 % and now companies are threatening to move to other countries. Now the government is "amazed" at the negative reaction. Like Obama in the U.S. claiming the people are just too dumb to understand his brilliant heath care plan, the British government is redoubling its effort to explain why high energy prices are good.  
Ice age threat should freeze EPA global warming regs. Washington Examiner, July 26, 2011. The U.S. National Solar Observatory, the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory and astrophysicists across the planet report that the nearly all-time low sunspot activity may result in a sustained cooling period on Earth. the last similar crash in sunspot activity coincided with the so-called "Little Ice Age" in the 1600s that lasted nearly a century. The EPA, which has enacted draconian measures will, by President Obama's admission, make energy costs "skyrocket." The subject of intense litigation, the EPA regulations were enacted this year without congressional approval. Estimates put the economic damage of these regulations at $1 trillion over the next 20 years, with a loss of between four and 10 million jobs. Note: We have been warning about this for years. It is here. Insanity reigns supreme.  
Proof that the Government is tilting at windmills. Sunday Telegraph. July 2, 2011. If Britain is to spend £100 billion in subsidies on building thousands of wind turbines, it will require the building of 17 new gas-fired power stations simply to provide back-up for all those times when the wind drops and the windmills produce even less power than usual. Two things make this even more absurd. One, it will be amazingly costly and wildly uneconomical, since the dedicated power plants will often have to run at a low rate of efficiency, burning gas but not producing electricity. This will add billions more to our fuel bills for no practical purpose. The other absurdity, as recent detailed studies have confirmed, is that gas-fired power stations running on "spinning reserve" chuck out much more CO2 than when they are running at full efficiency – thus negating any savings in CO2 emissions supposedly achieved by the windmills themselves. Note: We've been warning about this for years. The inmates in the insane asylum are now in charge of our governments.  

New NASA Data Blow Gaping Hole in Global Warming Alarmism. Forbes, July 27, 2011. NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth’s atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted. This means much less warming than these models have predicted and supports prior studies indicating increases in CO2 trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed. Note: This finally proves one of the biggest errors of the alarmist models that has long been suspected and articulated by skeptics. Also see here.

  
The Goal Is Power: The Global Warming Conspiracy. Forbes, July 25, 2011. The man-made global warming claim is a fraud, one that has already cost billions of dollars and is a clear and present danger to our liberty and democratic traditions — and, ironically, to the environment itself. Global warming is not about science, but about politics — that is, about expanding the power of elites using the coercive instruments of government to control the lives of people everywhere. Just as the governing class embraces ineffective Keynesian stimulus spending to justify expansion of government, they now extol AGW as the basis for increasing their power to rule over the rest of us. Note: Even as the elite dogmatically use the man-caused global warming fear to drive their plan to global government, more and more evidence keeps dogging them that global warming is a fraud. A gigantic fraud.  
Electric Vehicles Debunked by Electric Utility Researchers. Junk Science, July 20, 2011. A new report from inadvertently the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) exposes Electric Vehicles as pointless even under the rosiest scenario. EPRI project sales of 65 million electric vehicles by 2030 (itself highly unlikely), would save 7 billion gallons of gas. However, that is only 5% of the gas used in 2010, and by 2030 7 billion gallons would be meaningless. EPRI also claims it would reduce CO2 emissions by 90 million tons annually -- about 1.2% current U.S. emissions which is also meaningless. The tens of billions put into developing electric vehicles is never going to significantly impact CO2 emission. Note: None of the efforts to reduce CO2 emissions justifies their huge costs of development and subsidization of implementation.  
British Jobs Gone with the Wind. Sunday Telegraph, July 17, 2011. Crippling new taxes proposed to subsidise green energy (wind) could force key employers out of business. Until now, the main controversy about electricity prices has been to do with driving another 700,000 people into “fuel poverty”. But the impact on manufacturing could deliver a double whammy by driving manufacturing out of Britain, and a million jobs with them. Note: We have been predicting this for years. It has already happened in Spain and Italy, two of the EU nations that are a hair's breath away from collapsing. This doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out. Yet, progressive/socialist politicians seem to be incapable--unless they push alternative energy as a part of a much larger agenda.  
The Wind Turbine Backlash. Mail Online, July 11, 2011. Plans to cover Britain with wind farms are being thwarted by a growing tide of public opposition. Half of all applications are being rejected... "It is the inevitable and inexorable consequence of a costly, unpopular and completely pointless policy that is butchering Britain's green and pleasant landscape without having any effect on the climate," notes Benny Peiser of the Global Warming Policy Foundation. "These green projects are only viable because of multi-million subsidies." Note: As we have said for years, the alternative energy sector could not survive without political clout and huge subsidies (which we pay for along with higher energy costs). The British are apparently beginning to see through the scam.  
Estimating annual numbers of Atlantic hurricanes. Journal of Climate 24:1736-1746 in Climate Change Reconsidered, July 5, 2011. A new analysis of the characteristics of Atlantic hurricanes (tropical cyclones or TCs, whose peak winds exceeded 33 m/s) for the period 1878-2008, showed that the results "do not support the hypothesis that the warming of the tropical North Atlantic due to anthropogenic (man-caused) greenhouse gas emissions has caused Atlantic hurricane frequency to increase." Note: Hurricane scientists have been saying for years that the physics needed to create hurricanes do not occur in warming periods. Of course, they are totally ignored by the mainstream media. This research will also be ignored because it is not about science, it is about the politics of controlling you and me.  
A quarter of Brits are living in fuel poverty as energy bills rocket
London Mirror, June 6, 2011. As energy prices go through the roof due to forced implementation of alternative energy schemes to stop global warming, shocking figures reveal one in four families has been plunged into fuel poverty. At least 18 million people are spending 10% or more of their take home pay on energy bills. Based on the new way of calculating fuel poverty, 47% of working class families and 22% of the middle classes fall into this bracket. Fuel bills have rocketed by 71% in the past five years rising from £660 a year in 2006 to £1,131 today. Note: We’ve been forecasting this for years. The same thing will happen in the U.S. if Obama and the progressives continue down the same path. After all, Obama did promise that energy prices will necessarily skyrocket if we implement his energy policy.		  
IPCC Declares Greenpeace in Our Time. London Telegraph, June 18, 2011. The new IPCC report on renewable energy reads less like a scientific document and more like a propaganda puff for the world's renewable industries. It doesn't mention that the major defect of wind farms is that they only generate, on average, 25 per cent or less of their nominal capacity, are ludicrously inefficient and expensive, and they don't work when the wind is not blowing. The derisory amount of power they produce can make no significant contribution to meeting the world's energy needs. The output of all 12,000 turbines in America equates on average to no more than that of two large coal-fired power stations. Note: Couldn't have said it better.  
Supreme Court Rejects Climate Nuisance Suits. Junk Science, June 20, 2011. The Supreme Court unanimously rejected the effort by some states to sue utilities for greenhouse gas emissions on the basis of the nuisance doctrine, holding that the Clean Air Act pre-empts federal common law. On the downside, it reaffirmed the right of the EPA to regulate greenhouse gases based on the Clean Air Act -- albeit with caveats. Note: This is good news because there is evidence that activists in many states were gearing up to flood the courts with nuisance lawsuits. The bad news is that the EPA should have no right to use the Clean Air Act (CAA) to issue an avalanche of new regulations to curb greenhouse gas emissions. First, there is no scientific basis for the EPA to do this, and second the CAA is not designed to handle this kind of problem.  
Is the Sun Causing Global Warming? Guardian, UK, April 6, 2011. Alarmists say: "the total solar energy reaching Earth changes very little over time. Across the 11-year solar cycle, it varies by less than 0.1%, and even across the period since the little ice age chill of 1750, solar output climbed no more than about 0.12%... Subsequent estimates by Judith Lean of the Naval Research Laboratory and others have pegged the solar contribution to 20th-century warming at 10% or less." Note: This research is classic misdirection. Whenever the issue of the sun comes up, alarmists trot out the above fact that total energy emitted by the sun cannot cause temperature changes. Major Drop In Solar Activity Predicted. Space Daily, June 15, 2011. Solar cycle 24 is far below average, meaning much fewer sunspots. As the current sunspot cycle, Cycle 24, begins to ramp up toward maximum, independent studies of the solar interior, visible surface, and the corona indicate that the next 11-year solar sunspot cycle, Cycle 25, will be greatly reduced or may not happen. "If we are right," Hill concluded, "this could be the last solar maximum we'll see for a few decades. That would affect everything from space exploration to Earth's climate." Note: The last time this happened Earth experienced the Little Ice Age when temperatures dropped 3 degrees centigrade, crops failed, mass starvation occurred, and the Thames River in England froze every year. Pray this doesn't happen.  
Sun Headed into Hibernation, Solar Studies Predict. Victoria Jaggard. National Geographic. Three independent studies of the sun's insides, surface, and upper atmosphere all predict that the next solar cycle will be significantly delayed—if it happens at all. The predicted solar "sleep" is being compared to the last grand minimum on record, which occurred between 1645 and 1715. Note: This is monumental news, especially if NASA, NOAA and the National Geographic are reporting it. All three have been hyping global warming for two decades. NASA and NOAA have repeatedly been accused with hard evidence of cooking the books. This news confirms what the skeptics have been saying all along -- its natural cycles. Still, proponents are still trying to hedge their bets by saying it won't be serious because all the CO2 we've added will negate its impact. They never quit!  
Ten Years And Counting: Where’s The Global Warming? Forbes, June 8, 2011. Global greenhouse gas emissions have risen even faster during the past decade than predicted by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and other international agencies. According to alarmist groups, this proves global warming is much worse than previously feared. So say scientists at the present climate talks in Bonn, Germany. But there’s only one problem with this storyline; global temperatures have not increased at all during the past decade. Note: It is nothing short of astonishing how alarmists will ignore the obvious evidence that totally destroys their belief. There is only two choices. Either they have an agenda that they must force through (which is world government) or they are such ideologues that they are blind (also true).  
Wind farms aren't just a blight, they're a folly. London Telegraph, June 7, 2011. Europe’s manufacturing companies, including airlines, are demanding their respective governments abandon their carbon reduction policies. They are already destroying these companies economically. The enormous subsidies needed to make wind and solar energy profitable are increasing, threatening economic solvency. Worse, “to produce the same amount of electricity as one coal-fired power station, you'd need a wind farm the size of Greater London. And when there is no wind – or even when there is too much – the power produced is minuscule or the turbine has to be switched off while fossil-fuel stations take up the slack.” Note: This is exactly what we have warned will happen for the past 6 years. Yet, politicians refuse to take off their blinders and ear plugs.  

Evidence that Cosmic Rays Seed Clouds; Sun, Not Man Causes Global Warming

Junk Science, June 2, 2011. The more cloud cover occurring around the world, the lower the global temperature – and vice versa when there are fewer clouds. Scientists have succeeded for the first time in directly observing that the electrically charged particles coming from space (cosmic rays) and hitting the atmosphere at high speed contribute to creating the aerosols that are the prerequisites for cloud formation. The results suggest that the total (direct + indirect) solar forcing of earth’s temperature is at least 3.5 times stronger than that due to changing solar irradiance alone. Note: For decades warming alarmists have discounted the sun as a source of global warming while skeptics say it is the key to earth’s warming and cooling. The alarmists only use solar irradiance to discredit the sun and have refused to consider the sun’s magnetic flux. This research proves that the sun’s magnetic fluxes and cosmic rays are the driving force. Expect the alarmists to try to discredit it.

  

Everything You've Heard about Fossil Fuels May Be Wrong

As the wind and solar power industry collapses in Europe because of high costs, and the fears of man-caused global warming subside as proof emerges that CO2 is not a major cause of warming, it is finally being recognized that there is more than enough shale natural gas and oil to last civilization for centuries. We are witnessing the dawn of fossil fuel energy, not its end as thought just a few years ago. Note: The question now becomes when will the politicians realize this (especially Obama) and will the global agenda to deny us cheap energy prevail in suppressing this fantastic news.

  
EU Push for Green Energy Costs Another 1500 Jobs. Express UK. May 21st. Britain lost another 1500 jobs yesterday because of high green energy costs. The UK’s drive for green energy will send £60billion and 600,000 jobs “up in smoke” by ­creating the “highest energy costs in the world”. More wind farms, green levies and taxes aimed at making Britain a world leader in cutting greenhouse gases widely blamed for global warming, will “undermine” Britain’s ability to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by forcing out innovative companies. Note: I never ceased to be amazed at the ideological blindness of socialists who continue to rabidly push their failed programs even when they reality of their failure pushes them to economic disaster. Tragically the progressives in the US, including our president, have the same disease.  

New Tech Allows Vast Reserves of Methane by Replacing It with CO2. Forbes, May 19, 2011. Scientists have injected carbon dioxide into the kind of methane ice that underlies vast tracts of permafrost in the Arctic and lurks on the deep seafloor throughout the world. While the CO2 was sequestered inside the ice, the scientists extracted an energy source that may exist in nature in greater volume than all other fossil fuels combined. Now DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory, in partnership with Conoco Phillips, will try to repeat that success on the North Slope of Alaska. Note: If Methane ice can be harvested economically it would provide as much energy as needed for hundreds of years.

  
EPA Delays Greenhouse Regs. Fox News, May 18, 2011. In a concession to Republicans and moderate Democrats, the Obama administration has delayed two environmental restrictions on the nation’s power plants. Historically, Obama has fought every effort to implement the new regs. Critics correctly charge this is a pre-election political move to defuse criticism the EPA is out of control. Meanwhile environmentalists are outraged. Note: A more obvious reason for the radical about-face of Obama is that the economy is in the tank and these regs would send it off the cliff into a depression during the 2012 election.  
Former Cabinet Secretary Questions Blind Faith in Climate Alarmism. The Global Warming Policy Foundation, May 16, 2011. Lord Turnbull, the former Cabinet Secretary of the Home Civil Service (2002-2005) has called on MPs and ministers to question the rising costs and economic risks of Britain’s unilateral climate policies. In a devastating critique of current policies, Turnbull also criticses the blind faith in the IPPC’s conclusions because they do not bear the weight of certainty with which they are often expressed. Note: If the U.S. is on a suicidal course with its new EPA regs, England and other European countries are on a death march that is insane.

NOAA Scientist Rejects Global Warming Link to Tornadoes. Fox News, April 28, 2011. Greg Carbin, the warning coordination meteorologist at NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center, rejected claims by environmental activists that the outbreak of tornadoes this year is related to climate change brought on by global warming. Note: Carbin is one of the few global warming alarmists that seems to be intellectually honest. The article hints at this when it mentions that 1974 is the last great outbreak of tornadoes that even comes close to this year. It was part of the 1945-1975 period of global cooling caused by the cold phase of Pacific Decadal Oscillation—the same condition we now have. For these tornadoes to form you need warm moist air ahead of a very cold front—something that happens frequently in the spring with global cooling, but not with global warming!  
Earth's Temperature Continues to Drop. Dr. Roy Spencer Blog. April 8, 2011. Earth's temperature as measured by the highly accurate global satellite system continued to drop in March. Since the most recent high in Mid 2010 during a strong El Nino, the temperature has dropped 0.65oC, with a drop of 0.1oC in March alone. As with the 1998 El Nino, the 2010 El Nino produced high global temperatures. Since the 2010 El Nino has run its course, the global temperature has once again dropped below the 30 year average. Note: If this decline continues, it will reinforce the statistical conclusion there has been no significant warming since 2000.  
High Prices, Debt Crisis May Doom Obama’s Green Energy Plans. Fox News, April 14, 2011. Obama is asking taxpayers to cough up $8 billion in clean energy subsidies next year -- $3.2 billion for energy efficiency and renewable energy programs, $300 million in credit subsidies to promote those projects, and another $550 million dollars to support "game-changing clean energy technologies." Except new studies still show deep problems with wind and solar power. The huge cuts needed to reduce the deficits may require that these be cut. Note: If this happens it will literally save the U.S. from the extremely high costs of these alternative sources of energy.  
Where Have All the Climate Refugees Gone? Guardian, October 12, 2005. In 2005 the UN warned, "Rising sea levels, desertification and shrinking freshwater supplies will create up to 50 million environmental refugees by the end of the decade... Creeping environmental deterioration already displaced up to 10 million people." Note: Really? 2010 has come and gone. No climate refugees can be found anywhere. As with all the doom and gloom global warming scare stories, this one is nothing but hot air. The "scientist" who made this claim should have never used 2010 as the date by which this would happen. He should have set a date after he expected to retire. If you are going to throw terror into people you have to do it in a way that it doesn't matter if you are proven wrong!  
Getting Chilly. Calgary Herald. April 11, 2011. Unlike global warming, which extends growing seasons, global cooling, which started in 2002, will shorten growing seasons for at least the next two decades. Yet, Canada is still attempting to meet the ludicrous commitments of the Kyoto accord to address the fabricated crisis of human-caused global warming. Note: As the last several years have shown, this is true for the U.S. as well. Instead, we are spending billions of dollars to try to make it even cooler. We are seeing the reemergence of major winter blizzards, mind-numbing tornadoes and other violent weather that was common during the last 30 year cooling cycle from 1945 to 1975.   
Water Issues Worry Americans Most, Global Warming Least. Gallup, March 28, 2011. In its latest poll this month, Gallup found that global warming ranked dead last out of 9 issues covered in the poll. Only 51% of those polled said they were concerned a great deal or a fair amount, while 48% said they were not much or not at all concerned. Air and water pollution ranked at the top in which 72 to 79 of the respondents claimed they were concerned a great deal or a fair amount. Urban sprawl also ranked at the bottom, with only 57 percent saying they were concerned a fair to large amount. Note: This poll reveals Americans are concerned about the environmental issues they should be concerned about. Yet, the agenda-driven federal government is spending or costing hundreds of billion of dollars annually on global warming and smart growth to allegedly control urban sprawl.  
Obama's All-Out War on America. Even as Mideast oil supplies are increasingly imperiled by civil unrest, President Obama is systematically blocking every effort to develop domestic supplies of oil. If the turmoil in the Mideast escalates, it could unnecessarily mean $5 or more a gallon gas and the collapse of the American economy. Note: The U.S. has the largest oil and natural gas reserves in the world. Yet, President Obama has systematically blocked all new drilling to access this oil; even as he gives billions to Brazil to drill. His actions are making us extremely vulnerable to any instability that would reduce Mideast oil production. It has created an unparalleled national security issue that could collapse the U.S. economy in a way that would make the 1929 depression look like a walk in the park.  
U.S. Has Earth's Largest Energy Resources. America’s combined energy resources are, according to a new report from the Congressional Research Service (CSR), the largest on earth. They eclipse Saudi Arabia (3rd), China (4th) and Canada (6th) combined – and that’s without including America’s shale oil deposits and, in the future, the potentially astronomic impact of methane hydrates. Note: I have been writing about this for ten years. So why do we never hear about it in the news and why is President Obama in the process of locking this oil up so it can never be developed?  
Global Warming Is Creating Perfect Crop Conditions. Forbes, March 23, 2011. Global warming is not only producing warmer temperatures, but also improving soil moisture, and more abundant atmospheric carbon dioxide, which have helped bring about a golden age for global agricultural production. The tremendous improvement in global crop production and worldwide growing conditions during recent decades is one of the most important yet least reported news events of our time. Note: Hundreds of research studies have clearly shown that increased CO2 will increase food production by 25 to 50 percent; even higher with warmer temps.  
$700 Trillion to Drop Earth's Temperature 0.01 Degree. World Net Daily, March 14, 2011. New calculations applied to a U.S. Senate report reveal the Environmental Protection Agency's plan to combat global warming through regulation of greenhouse gases would theoretically take over $700 trillion, seven times the world's gross production, to drop the earth's temperature only 1 degree Celsius. The EPA calculates in 75 Federal Register 25,495: "Global mean temperature is estimated to be reduced by 0.006 to 0.015 degrees Celsius by 2100." At $78 billion in annual costs would cost over $7 trillion.  
Concerns About Global Warming Stable at Lower Levels. Gallup, March 14, 2011. Americans continue to express less concern about global warming than they have in the past, with 51% saying they worry a great deal or fair amount about the problem -- although attitudes appear to have stabilized compared with last year. That current level of worry compares with 66% just three years ago, and is only one percentage point higher than the low Gallup measured in 1997. Note:  This is good news/bad news. The good news is the percentage of Americans who are very or fairly concerned about the issue is way down. The bad news is that it seems to be stabilizing at about 51-52%. It appears that the tremendous media fear campaign by the alarmists in 2010 seems to have worked.  
European Unconventional Commercial Gas Potential Rivals North America. IHS, March 9, 2011. The size of European unconventional commercial gas reserves rival that of North America, according to a major new study by IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates (IHS CERA). The study, Breaking with Convention: Prospects for European Unconventional Gas estimates Europe’s total unconventional gas in place could be 173 trillion cubic meters (Tcm), or 6,115 trillion cubic feet (Tcf). Note: Now that US oil shale is being developed commercially, similar deposits are being revealed all over the world. There is enough natural gas and oil in these deposits to last hundreds of years at current levels. However, globalists, including Obama, are successfully blocking efforts to developing these supplies using the false reason of needing alternative energy due to man-caused global warming.  
Helmut Schmidt Calls for IPCC Inquiry. Quadrant Online, March 7, 2011. Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt is calling for a full inquiry into the credibility of the science provided by the UN’s IPCC. “The publications provided by the…IPCC…have encountered skepticism, especially since some of their researchers have shown themselves to be fraudsters.” The work of the IPCC, continued Schmidt, should be “scrutinized, under the microscope.”  
Green Savings Plans Under Threat. February 25, 2011. The British government is about to scrap its green policy of using private Individual Savings Accounts (ISA) as a means of subsidizing the enormous cost of green energy. The Tory ISA policy was to help savers benefit from the growth of the green economy. It was forecast to provide £2 billion into building wind and solar farms. The ISA concept hasn't even been instituted yet. Note: it has become apparent to all except green ideologues that it becoming increasingly apparent the green economy was going bankrupt and that the enormous subsidies must stop if the national economy was going to be saved.  
Grab Your Wallet...the UN Wants What's In It. American Spectator, February 23, 2011. The United Nations yesterday called for 2 percent of worldwide income to be invested in the green economy. The investment [sic], which would amount to $1.3 trillion a year, will pay for itself by providing millions of new jobs, developing new industries, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, saving money and providing health benefits from cleaner air, the United Nations said. Note: The UN has just upped the ante from 1 percent to 2. They have been calling for this for years. This, in spite of spectacular exposure of the fraud by the IPCC on how they have manipulated the data to arrive at a predetermined conclusion and the utter failure of the green economy in Europe. If the UN were ever to get this money, they would instantly become a world government.  
Obama Expands His War on Fossil Fuels. Investors.com, February 17, 2011. On Tuesday, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar expanded Obama's war on fossil fuels by announcing that the Obama administration is going to take a "fresh look" at oil shale leasing rules put forward in 2008 by President George W. Bush to develop oil-rich land in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. This is exactly what he did to off-shore oil leasing, in violation of court orders to the contrary. Shale oil/natural gas deposits are the largest in the world and will supply all the oil/natural gas the US needs for 200 years. Note: While crying we need to be more energy self-sufficient, Obama and the main-stream press are doing everything they can to stop the development of enormous US energy deposits. One can only assume he is doing this to force us to go with "alternative energy", ie. wind and solar, which can never amount to a few percent of US energy needs. It is utterly evil.  
Dr. Roy Spencer: Defunding the UN IPCC. Global Warming Blog, February 19, 2011. Dr. Roy Spencer has been actively involved with the IPCC for 20 years. This excellent blog explains what he found. "Politicians formed the IPCC over 20 years ago with an endgame in mind: to regulation CO2 emissions. I know, because I witnessed some of the behind-the-scenes planning. It is not a scientific organization. It was organized to use the government-funded scientific research establishment to achieve policy goals....They have a theory -- more CO2 is to blame -- and they religiously stick to it." Note: Spencer goes on to condemn alarmist scientists for letting "their politics, their economic understanding (or lack thereof) affect their scientific judgment."  
House votes 244-179 to kill U.S. funding of IPCC. Climate Watch, February 19, 2010. At 2 AM Saturday morning the Republicans in the House of Representatives made history by voting to eliminating all funding for the highly political and biased UN International Panel on Climate Change, keeping a promise they made during the 2010 election cycle. Note: As refreshing as it is, the measure will not survive the U.S. Senate. However, none of the $80 billion slashed from this years budget will survive the Senate. A constitutional crisis may result from the standoff between progressives and conservatives in Congress as neither side will give in thereby shutting down the federal government.  
Climate Models Fail to Predict Past Climate History. Nipccreport.org, February 15, 2011. When comparing climate modeled trends in annual extremes of temperature and precipitation with real historical data, only a few of the five models tested even had "moderately" close projections. "The results mostly show moderate skill for temperature indices and low skill or its absence for precipitation indices [italics added]." If climate model results are utilized as the basis for mandating a complete overhaul of the world's energy system - as the world's climate alarmists are attempting to do - the models should possess considerably more than moderate skill at what they do. But they definitely should not have low skill. And to employ models that have an absence of skill is the height of folly. Note: Once again, the climate models fail to adequately predict actual historical data. Yet, our progressive politicians insist on that we must institute economy-destroying laws and regulations to fix an unfixable, nonexistent problem.  
Republicans Want to Ax Renewable Energy and Environment. IBTimes(UK), February 16, 2011. Congressional Republicans on Wednesday released a budget plan that would impose $4.4 billion in deep cuts on energy efficiency and renewable energy, scientific research and environmental protection. Newly elected Tea Party Republicans want to cut $26 billion. However, polls by the Natural Resources Defense Council alleges 60 to 67% of Fred Upton’s (R-MI), Chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, constituents want the EPA to implement the new carbon pollution regs. Note: These include renewable/clean energy boondoggles as well as the EPA regs. Also, the NRDC’s 60-67% figures are highly suspicious.  
January 2011 Global Temperatures in Freefall. Roy Spencer, February 4, 2011. January 2011 experienced a precipitous drop in lower tropospheric temperatures over the tropics, Northern Hemisphere, and Southern Hemisphere. This was not unexpected, since global average sea surface temperatures have been falling for many months, with a head start as is usually the case with La Nina. Note: 2010 was an El Nino year. 2011 is a La Nina and the temps are plummeting--actually a freefall. They will moderate towards the end of the year and into 2012, but are likely to be below normal most of the time for the next 15 to 20 years. How are the alarmists going to spin this?  
Gore: Increased Heavy Snowfall/Cold Consistent With Global Warming. Climate Depot, February 3, 2010. Gore has been joined by many proponents of man-made global warming in now claiming that record cold and snow is either “consistent with” or caused by global warming. The problem for Gore and others who make these claims, is they are on record claiming decreasing snow and cold are caused by global warming. The 2007 IPCC Report also claimed there would be warmer winters and less snow. Note: Climate Depot cites in this post dozen of examples where those claiming increased snow/cold insisted just a few years ago global warming would cause just the opposite. It should be obvious to any thinking person that the entire global warming scare is a fraud of unbelievable proportions and the alarmists will say anything to scare you.  
Senators Vow to Strip Obama Climate Power. Breitbart, January 31, 2011. Conservative senators vowed Monday to stop the Environmental Protection Agency from regulating greenhouse gases, which scientists blame for global warming, without explicit approval by Congress. Note: Such a bill would have little hope of passing the Senate, and no hope of escaping a veto. It would perhaps throw the spotlight on the EPA’s draconian action, which would increase public opposition. A better bet will be the House’s efforts to defund the EPA’s budget to implement the new regulations.  
Is 2010 Really the Warmest Ever? Energy Tribune, January 28, 2011. Both NOAA and NASA announced 2010 is tied for the warmest year ever. But after the incredibly cold and snowy winters in 2008/09 and 2009/10 and so far in 2010/11, those claims are falling on increasingly deaf ears. Climategate and other evidence of malfeasance has not helped the alarmists either. Up until a few years ago, every alarmist scientist and news organization proclaimed snow would disappear in the winter and there would be massive droughts in the summer. The past three years have produced the exact opposite, so the alarmists are suddenly saying more snow, cold and floods are to be expected from global warming. Citizens with better memories see through the lies. In fact, if the present pace is continued 2010/2011 will be the coldest, snowiest winter in recorded history. Note: This article by Joe D'Aleo provides an excellent summary of what is happening. The claim of man-caused global warming is entering the absurd.  
Black Hole of Global Warming Spending. Front Page Magazine, January 28, 2011. The federal government will spend $10.6 million a day on climate change. Annual expenditures will be about $4 billion on global warming research, despite the fact that there has been no global warming since 1998 (even with the warm year of 2010). Warming and cooling is natural, and there is NO empirical scientific evidence man is causing warming. In December 2010, more than 1,000 international scientists challenged man-made global warming claims made by the United Nations Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Note: Funding for global warming issues is supposed to increase for 2011, despite a $14 trillion deficit. This is lunacy. This is a good expenditure to cut to bring down the deficit.  

Ground Control to Major Obama

In his State of the Union speech Obama returned to the nasty corporate-bashing message of his first two years by attacking the U.S. oil industry; implying it was receiving massive subsidies that could be redirected to clean energy. “I’m asking Congress to eliminate the billions in taxpayer dollars we’re currently giving to oil companies.” In fact, there is no money going to oil companies. It’s not a subsidy but a tax deduction that is used by all U.S. manufacturing corporations. Now Mr. Obama wants to single out the oil industry for punishment. The oil industry already pays tax rates up to 43.9%, while the while the jolly green giant GE, who makes its living off of subsidies, paid a measly 11.5%.  Note: It is simply amazing how progressives can twist a standard tax deduction for all companies into a massive subsidy, when, in fact, the really massive subsidies are going to his ‘green’ alternative energy scam which is already bankrupting European nations that tried the same thing.

  

MPs Slam ‘secretive’ Climategate Probes.

The Express, January 25, 2011. TWO inquiries into claims that scientists manipulated data about global warming were yesterday condemned by MPs as ineffective and too secretive. The committee also said the emails review “did not fully investigate the serious allegation” relating to the deletion of emails and instead relied on a verbal reassurance that the messages still exist. Lord Oxburgh appeared to have a “conflict of interest” because of his links to green businesses while the Emails Review panel included a former Climate Research Unit scientist. Note: The British papers were full of this story yesterday. It is good that the whitewash of Climategate is still being challenged, but many MPs on this panel just want the issue to go away so they can get back to the serious work of trying to save the planet from global warming. So much for reality.

 
Natural Gas Supplies Could Last the World 250 Years! UPI, January 19, 2011. Supplies of natural gas could last more than 250 years if Asian and European economies follow the U.S. unconventional reserves, the IEA said. The abundance of shale gas and other forms of so-called unconventional gas discovered in the United States prompted a global rush to explore for the new resource. Note: The IEA's estimate is very conservative. It should be double that. The same is true for oil. Until China's recent discovery of huge deposits in the North China Sea, the U.S. had the largest reserve of oil in the world by far in shale oil and gas. Why have we not been using it? Congress has had it bottled up with environmental studies. Now the BLM (Bureau of Land Management) is studying 200 million acres of BLM land for withdrawal into "wild lands" (read wilderness). Most of the gas and oil shale strata are on BLM land. Look for most of this enormous resource to be locked up and unavailable to American citizens.  
Global Warming "Tipping Point" Theory Bites the Dust. HauntngTheLibrary.com, January 15, 2011. The methane release tipping point is the "end of earth" theory that you frequently hear about in the news. Massive releases of methane in the BP disaster clearly showed that "methane respiration rates [i.e. oxidation] increased to levels higher than have ever been recorded, ultimately consuming it and prohibiting its release to the atmosphere." Note: In other words atmospheric methane is in dynamic equilibrium and additional methane is oxidized as soon as it is released. That probably explains why the increase in atm. methane has leveled off the past few years, despite more cows and industrial activity.  
BBC Hits UK Govt with FOIA Demand Over the Met’s Cold Forecast. Canadian Free Press, January 11, 2011. The BBC serves Freedom of Information request (FOIA) on UK Government over cold weather forecast failures secrecy in worst winter for 100 years. In an almighty battle to salvage credibility,  three British government institutions are embroiled in a new global warming scandal with the BBC mounting a legal challenge to force ministers to admit the truth that they deliberately suppressed the Met’s cold weather forecast with one saying to expect a warm fall and winter. Skeptics accuse the government of lying to the British people so as not to embarrass the UN’s Climate Conference in Cancun in early December.  
GOP Strikes Early in Global Warming Battle. Bloomberg Business Weed, January 6, 2011. GOP lawmakers have introduced several bills that would hamstring the Environmental Protection Agency from moving forward with regulations to reduce heat-trapping pollution from electric power producers, refineries, factories and other sources. The bills are part of a plan by House Republicans to reverse what they consider job-killing policies of the administration. Note: This is good news since what the EPA is now doing will hit power generating plants, refineries and large factories hard, guaranteeing sharp increases in energy costs and inflation. Although there are other reasons (e.g. economic recovery in the rest of the world), the anticipation of these new regs is already causing gasoline prices to skyrocket, just as Obama said would happen if his energy plan was put into place. Expect the mainstream press to demonize the GOP for doing this.  
Met Office 'kept winter forecast secret from public'. London Telegraph, January 6, 2011. The Met Office informed the government in October that Britain was facing an early and exceptionally cold winter but failed to warn the public, hampering preparations for some of the coldest weather on record. Instead, they told the public it would be a warm winter. This is raising questions of why they would do that. Note: The answer, many believe is that they did not want to cast doubt on global warming just before the UN's Cancun Climate Conference in late November/December. It was for naught. The week the conference was held in Cancun Mexico was the coldest on record. This merely provides more ammunition for skeptics to claim that alarmists (in and out of government) of global warming will do anything, I mean anything, to keep the truth hidden from the public. It has reached the level of absurdity. Climate alarmists now claim that hot weather/cold weather; floods/droughts; violent storms/mild weather; any extreme of weather is do to global warming. People are finally catching on that it is a religion. Now we need to show them that it is part of an effort to create global governance.

Note: Dr. Roy Spencer, who developed the satellite temperature monitoring technology for NASA, shows that the long expected plunge in Earth's temperature seems to be occurring now that the El Nino is over and a La Nina is starting.
